In protest against the ransacking and burning of homes in Joseph Colony, the Punjab Assembly MPA Pervaiz Rafiq resigned on Sunday.
The MPA from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) said the government had failed to provide security to minorities. He expressed sorrow over the repeated attacks against minorities in the country.
Rafiq added that he would submit his resignation in the Punjab Assembly Secretariat soon.
