PPP has maximum support in Pak: survey

No matter who wins Pakistan’s general elections scheduled for May, the next government will have to reckon with a strong opposition, said a new survey by a German institute. The survey by Heinrich Boll Stiftung gave lead to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with 29 percent of the respondents supporting Benazir Bhutto’s party. Nearly 25 percent said they would vote for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Another 20 percent supported cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
