During a meeting scheduled on Thursday night, Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani expressed concerns over the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the country, especially, that in Karachi and Quetta to President Asif Ali Zardari.
Per details, the Army Chief expressed concerns over the ineffective use of civilian law enforcement agencies to President Zardari. Amry Chief also apprised the president of the intelligence reports regarding the presence of armed wings in political parties. The COAS also raised the issue of collaborations between the terrorist groups and political parties.
Kayani vowed that the army would support civilian law enforcement agencies whenever requested.
For the last five years General Ashfaq Kayani has been briefing President Asif Zardari about the deterioting law situation in the country. These briefings are more or less like the ''Elite Ladies'' Bridge and Coffee parties!
