The Islamabad High Court on Friday issued notices to Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Secretary Defence and Secretary Establishment.
The notices were issued over an application, seeking contempt of court proceedings over non-compliance of an approval given by a cabinet sub-committee in the light of Lahore High Court ruling for regularization of employees of ISI, Pakistan’s principal spy agency.
The application stated that the cabinet sub-committee had granted approval for the regularization of services of ISI employees in the light of LHC verdict issued on December 31, 2012.
However, the decision has not been implemented so far. The court adjourned the hearing for a week.
