LHC CJ takes notice of Punjab law & order situation

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Thursday took notice of the prevalent law and order situation in Punjab.

The notice was taken on the basis of newspapers’ reports. The LHC chief justice has directed the Inspector General Punjab and concerned district and sessions judges to file their reports within one week after the probe.

  1. That's very good; as the saying goes 'better late than never'.

    The delivery of health service at District level and also in big urban centers is appalling; funds earmarked for health are underutilized and public interest is jeopardized and people get treated worse than how the animals are treated in the developed world.

    Public interest is at stake and appropriate action needs to be taken.
