Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that general elections will be held well in time and in a fair and transparent way.
In his opening remarks in a meeting of the federal cabinet here on Thursday‚ he said judiciary‚ media and election commission are independent and free‚ therefore there is no chance for any rigging in the election.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said the government made successful efforts to improve national economy besides providing basic communities to the life of the people during its five year tenure.
The Prime Minister said terrorism is big challenge for the country and all political forces will have to work collectively to curb the menace.
He termed all parties conferences convened by Awami National Party and Jameet Ulema-e-Islam-F as positive step to eliminate terrorism.
He commended the role of army in fight against terrorism and said we boosted the moral of army which gained remarkable success especially in Swat.
The Cabinet will discuss fourteen point agenda including reviewing law and order‚ economic and political situation of the country.
