‘Zardari has put robbers to shame’

shahbaz-sharif.21Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Zardari and his cronies have made the life of the nation miserable through corruption of trillions of rupees while due to inefficiency of federal rulers, the country is facing darkness and inflation, unemployment and poverty is rampant.

He said that even thieves and dacoits would be ashamed of the way federal rulers have plundered the hard-earned money of the masses, adding that the development activities undertaken by Punjab government of were unprecedented in the 65 years history of the country.

He was addressing a public gathering at Haveli Lakha. Members Punjab Assembly Mian Moeen Wattoo, Ali Raza Gillani, Mian Yawar Zaman, PML-N leaders Rao Ajmal, Zahid Gillani, Afzaal Shah Gillani and a large number of party workers were also present. The CM said that loot and corruption of Zardari and his cronies has pushed the nation into problems and crises while the country has been brought to the verge of disaster. He said that by implementing the policy of merit, transparency and speedy completion of development schemes, Punjab government had executed a number of mega projects in the province which have resulted in relief to the masses. He said that Manzoor Wattoo had embezzled Zakat Fund of orphans while he was also been involved in black-marketing of fertilizers. He said that Pakistan People’s Party would face a shameful defeat in the general elections and if PML-N came into power the process of development will be accelerated throughout the country including Okara. He said that if people gave opportunity, darkness will be eliminated from the country within two years. Referring to the development projects of the Punjab government, he said that due right had been given to the masses through laptop scheme, Ujala programme, educational endowment fund, subsidised green tractor scheme and self-employment scheme. He said that elections were soon to be held in the country and people will have to get rid of corruption of Zardari and load- shedding. He said that Nawaz Sharif would have to be brought into power for rooting out darkness and corruption as he was the one who gave solid economic policies to the country, constructed motorway, gave free of cost land to poor Haris of Sindh and made Pakistan a nuclear power. He said that innocent people were being killed in Karachi and Quetta while KP was also facing terrorism but the rulers have become insensitive.

Earlier, the CM laid the foundation stone of the second phase of Kasur-Depalpur dual carriageway at Hujra Shah Muqeem. The second phase of the road from Alla Abad to Depalpur woul dcost Rs 2.40 billion and it would be completed by June 30.
