The list of probable candidates for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for eight seats of the National Assembly and 17 of the Sindh Assembly from Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar and Mirpur Khas districts has been sent to the party’s central secretariat in Lahore.
PML-N Mirpur Khas Divisional General Secretary Mian Amjad Saeed Arain said Nawaz Sharif, in consultation with other party leaders, would finalise the names of candidates.
He said the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-67 and National Assembly’s constituency NA-227 are strongholds of PML-N from where Pir Noor Muhammad Shah Jeelani, Muhammad Khan Junejo and Syed Inayat Ali Shah had defeated PPP candidates in the past.
Amjad Arain said PML-N Sindh chief Syed Ghaus Ali Shah would soon start visiting all four districts and hold public meetings there.
