Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Tuesday accepted the resignations of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Sindh ministers.
MQM ministers had submitted their resignations after their party had developed differences with the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government.
MQM’s ministers Syed Sardar Ahmad, Faisal Sabzwari, Khalid bin Welayet, Dr. Saghir Ahmad, Nisar Panhwar, Adil Siddiqui, Shoaib Bukhari and Sheikh Afzal had submitted their resignations to the Sindh Governor due to differences with the Chief Minister’s house.
Later, PPP in reaction backed out from the mutually approved local bodies system called SPLGO, hastily re-introduced the 1979 local bodies system and got it approved from the assembly, stamping the parting of ways.
