Unidentified armed men on Tuesday kidnapped ANP’s lawmaker from Kuchlak area of Balochistan, official sources said on Tuesday.
According to details, Sultan Tareen was heading towards Harnai from Quetta when unidentified gunmen stopped his car near Kuchlak. The assailants injured his guard for putting up resistance.
Sources said family members lost contacts with Tareen in Kuchlak, some 30 km off the provincial capital.
“Armed men whisked away my brother to unidentified location in Kuchlak area between Monday and Tuesday night,” Ghulam Tareen, brother of the lawmaker, said.
Tareen, who was elected from Harnai/Sibbi constituency, was former prisons minister.
