Federal Minister for Political Affairs Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Monday said that PPP introduced a policy of reconciliation in the national politics to nourish democracy.
Talking journalists, he said that many alliances had been formed against PPP in the past and formation of new alliances against PPP is nothing new for the party.
He said; “we are ready to hold talks with any one including MQM. PPP will repeat history in Sindh and we will work with our alliance partners.”
He said that PPP is not afraid of nationalists and the confusion regarding as such would settle in due passage of time.
Replying to a question he said that ANP and MQM are still support PPP and Ideological politics still exists in Pakistan. He said that “it is only false propaganda which maintains that ideological politics has no room in Pakistan.
He said that voters still consider PPP as a party of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the main reason behind the strength of PPP is its ideology.
He said that the elections would be held on time in free, fair and transparent manners under the banner of the independent Election Commission.
The minister said that PPP led government succeeded to strengthen democracy in the country and opposition had also played its positive role in this regard.
WHAT A BULL SHITTING STATEMENT.TOTALLY LIAR
hell on your democracy the most worst government in Pakistan,s history full of robbers, slaves and cruels.Nation should reject these peoples in elections.
This type of Democracy is not the type anyone in Pakistan deserves.
Look at what democracy PPP style has brought us; poverty, corruption unseen in human history and open warfare on our streets.
I would applaud the Tanks rumbling down the streets as the vanguard of a new coup. Hopefully one with no illusions of democracy.
Democracy keeps a country integrated. When ethnic groups are marginalised, they yearn for a sovereign territory or try to create one on their own. Under authoritarian regimes, ethnic discontent is dealt with ethnocide. When poly-ethnicity is a reality, national doctrines if not made compatible with them spawn a conflict. The latter has brought more troubles for Pakistan than comfort. The state is not supposed to promote one kind of ethnic community or sectarian group at the cost of the others. Contradictions in the state’s narrative are a reality but the solution lies in finding a negotiated order and that is possible when the state keeps travelling on the itinerary of democracy. In this way, instead of letting people take refuge in ethnic and sectarian isolation and perhaps separatism, democracy offers a common medium to get recognised with. Pakistan is on the track of democracy just because of PPP efforts. PPP faced every stigma but did not allow democracy to derail. If today democracy is flourishing in Pakistan, it is just because of PPP.
