Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf on Monday expressed sorrow over the death of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Mehrunnisa Afridi.
In a condolence message, Ashraf paid tributes to Afridi for her contribution to democracy.
He prayed for eternal peace for her soul.
Afridi died Sunday night in Peshawar after a brief illness.
She was elected as member of the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the 2008 elections.
