The lawyers’ community on Monday observed a strike against the blast which occurred on Sunday evening in Karachi’s Abbas Town.
The lawyers boycotted proceedings at the Lahore
High Court, session courts, civil courts and other courts in the city.
The Pakistan Bar Council had given the strike call which was also endorsed by the Punjab Bar Council and other lawyers’ bodies.
However, the boycott affected the litigants who had to return disappointed as their cases could not be heard.
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) through a statement condemned the blast and demanded the government to take steps for improving the law and order situation in Karachi.
