A three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign was launched on Monday in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) where at least 741,788 children under five years of age would be vaccinated.
According to details, a polio inauguration ceremony was conducted at FATA Secretariat chaired by Secretary Social Sectors Dr Aftab Akbar Durrani and Director Health Services Dr Fawad Khan and attended by health staff and members of World Health Organisation.
At least 2,317 mobile, 605 area incharge, 76 transit and 232 fixed site teams had been deputed to vaccinate 741,788 children under five years of age. The campaign will continue till March 6.
