Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon on Sunday said that delimitation of constituencies in Karachi is not possible before the 2013 general elections.
Talking to journalists he said “The task of delimitation in the provincial metropolis should be carried out after polls.”
Memon said that general elections are looming on the horizon, redrawing of electoral constituencies cannot be completed on time and those advocating for redrawing of constituencies are conspiring to delay elections.
Memon said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif is ineligible to contest elections as he has been proven guilty of accepting bribes from agencies to form Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) to stop Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from winning the 1990 elections.
