Rajkumar Hirani will not direct ‘Munnabhai’ part three, titled ‘Munnabhai Chale Delhi’. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has confirmed the development. Apparently, it was Hirani’s ever-expanding schedule for P.K that led to the decision. He will be replaced by Subhash Kapoor, whose Jolly LLB is up for release on March 15. Says Vidhu, “I have seen Subhash’s work and after discussing with Hirani, Abhijat Joshi (screenwriter, Lage Raho Munnabhai) I realised that Subhash has the sensibility and the approach required to take the Munnabhai franchise ahead.” The much-awaited third installment of ‘Munnabhai’ has been going through considerable chop and change. There were speculations that Hirani may not be a part of the film, though he scotched the rumours in an interview to TOI in August last year. “I was not happy with the second half of the script. I was suffering a writer’s block, you may say.
