Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab President Mian Manzoor Wattoo said links of the Punjab government with defunct organisations have been unveiled which could not do well for the masses.

He questioned when a government is itself affiliated with terrorists, who will guarantee security of public lives and properties.

Addressing a press conference at the PPP provincial secretariat on Saturday, Wattoo said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had bound itself in electoral alliance with terrorist groups. “This is why PPP separated its ways and was not interested in any kind of coalition or seat adjustment with the PML-N,” he said.

He termed the handing over of GwadarPort to China and Pak-Iran pipeline as mega projects saying both projects would create new avenues of development besides creating job opportunities for the countrymen which would result in a remarkable decrease in unemployment rates.

Wattoo said foreign powers including the United States were opposing the Pak-Iran gas project but keeping in view the energy crisis and greater interests of the country, it would completed at all costs.

Wattoo claimed various rebellious movements were being run as part of a conspiracy for supporting separatists and destabilising the country but clamied no such effort would succeed.

He termed large scale appointments and transfers in Punjab as pre-poll rigging of the incumbent provincial government and demanded the chief election commissioner to take notice of these actions.

  1. Manzoor Watto and Mr Gringo are naiv. Suppose there is small truth as these two says that terrorist are taking action in Karachi and Baluchistan and then hide in Punjab. Could these two explain how is it possible to travel for the terrorists to Punjab and who is supervising their movements and probably they know the names of those terrorists then why not to give their names to Punjab Government ? otherwise stop this nonsence blame game.
