Sami writes…

Our very own singer and composer Adnan Sami, who has witnessed  many ups and downs in his life, has started penning down notes about his life. He says they could be used for his biography, or subsequently, a biopic some day, Pakistan Today has learnt.

“If I have to make a film about how my life has been so far, then it will be a full-of-masala flick, I know that! In any case, my independent music albums are biographical but penning it down is something I have just started,” said Sami.

“I’m writing notes because there are so many incidents which I don’t want to forget and maybe one day, who knows, a biopic might be made out of those notes,” said the singer. “The notes could also be possibly used for biography. Let’s see if somebody wants to make a biopic, at least I have got my notes ready.”

The singer, known for his famous numbers like Kabhi To Nazar MilaoLift Kara De and Tera Chehra, has lost over 150kg and says he feels like he has been reborn. “It’s really a new lease of life because I feel like I have been reborn, physically,” said Sami. “My life had come to a standstill because of the enormous weight that I had gathered. Now that I have lost 155kg, I feel like a feather,” he added while chuckling.

While talking about how the weight loss has changed his life, Sami said, “Right from basic things like lying down on the bed — I could not do that, I used to sit and sleep! Today, I value every single thing. I can walk to a store and buy stuff for myself, which I couldn’t do before. It’s all wonderful.”

The singer, who recently launched his new album Press Play, said now he is all set to face the cameras, and his debut film will go on floors soon too. “I have signed a movie and I am playing a conman, who is inefficient and not a bright person. It’s a clumsy character.” Sami added, “It’s an intelligent script and in the next few months, the film will be released.”
