Punjab government given an oeuvre on LEJ

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday said that an oeuvre of details on Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LJ) including the list of its 734 activists has been handed over to the Punjab Government.

The minister hoped that Lahore would be punitive against the banned outfit.

Talking to journalists in Islamabad on Friday, he said that LeJ is involved in different activities throughout the country and is using Punjab as is base camp.

Rehman Malik said that JUI’s All Parties Conference was a good step for the establishment of peace in the country. He said if Taliban are serious in holding dialogues, they must lay down arms and come to the negotiating table unconditionally.
