Peshawar SNGPL on strike against illegal connections

SNGPL employees on Friday went on a strike to protest a torture of their colleagues by people enjoying illegal connections of gas.

Per details, staff of SNGPL was tortured in Phando area of Afghan colony when it went to disconnect the supply of gas which was being used through illegal connections. Law deviants thrashed the employees and used abusive language in addition to threatening them of serious consequences.

The SNGPL employees have locked themselves in their respective offices and are allowing no one access inside. When people pressed for entry, the security guards fired in the air to disperse them.

The employees vowed to continue strike till all their torturers are arrested.

SNGPL is suffering mammoth losses in addition to complaints bylegal consumers because of illegal connections by mafias.

There are areas in KP where state organs are not allowed access by armed militants who also exploit utilities illegally. SNGPL has regretted that KP police is cooperating with them to stop the illegal consumers.
