MQM condemns Rs.4.35 hike in gasoline

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has condemned the recent hike in prices of petroleum products, terming it as a conspiracy and cruelty to the people.

In a statement, the MQM leaders said that the people are already hit by inflation and are leading difficult lives and hikes in prices of petroleum products would put inflation on an upward trajectory

The government, despite the opposition by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), pushed the petrol price by Rs.3.53 per liter and diesel by, exposing people to a reducing purchasing power of their incomes.

kerosene oil was jacked up by Rs.3.79, high speed diesel Rs.4.35 while the price of light speed diesel soared by Rs.3.93/lit.

After the hike, the new price of petrol is Rs.106.60/lit, kerosene oil 103.69, high speed diesel Rs.113.56, while light speed diesel stands at new price of Rs.98.26
