Dawood Shah was on Friday appointed as the new director general of the Intelligence Bureau.
According to reports, former director general of the Intelligence Bureau Akhtar Gorchani had been transferred, while Dawood Shah was appointed as his replacement.
The new director general Dawood Shah was earlier posted as joint director on the Intelligence Bureau, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
The appointment was made on the orders of the prime minister.
