Kidnappings, deaths, raids, fires

Two students went missing on Thursday after they did not return home after tuition.

According to details, two students named Hussan Amjad and Bilal Saleem, both 17, residents of Wahdat Colony went to their tuition center. They did not come back and their parents claimed that their phones were not responding. They lodged an FIR in the area police station for their missing sons.

Deaths

A speeding truck collided with a man in the area of Babu Sabu interchange, killing him on the spot.

According to details, the truck hit an unidentified 40-year-old man when he was crossing the road. The driver of the truck escaped from the scene.

The police recovered the body and shifted it to the morgue. The police said that the man seemed to be a passenger.

In another report, a farmer was killed over a water dispute in the area of Haidayara. According to details, a man named Anwer Ameen and his accomplices murdered a farmer named Akram by beating him with wooden sticks over a water dispute and escaped from the scene. The police recovered the body for further investigation.

Firing

Unidentified men opened fire and injured two men in the area of Sandha. According to details, the firing incident occurred at a local cable office when two unidentified men opened fire and injured Mian Ijaz and his companion and escaped from the scene. The victims were shifted to the MayoHospital in critical condition.

Arrest

Moreover, Gawal Mandi Police raided and arrested a suspected drug dealer named Raiz. The police also seized one kilogram heroin from his possession.

In another report, district live stock officials, along with the police, coducted a raid against sellers of unhygienic meat and arrested 40 butchers for illegal slaughtering.

According to details, officials raided and arrested 40 men involved in illegal slaughtering of sick and lightweight animals. The police recovered unhygienic 500 kilogrammes of meat from their possession. At least 68 FIRs were also lodged against the accused in different police stations including Nawakot, Gari Shahu, Manga Mandi, Gulshan Iqbal, Sherakot and others.

Robbery

A robbery incident took place in local general store in the area of Defence. According to reports, robbers broke into the shop and took Rs 350,000 cash and escaped from the scene.

Fire

Shops situated in the area of Gul Bahar Colony, near 7Up bridge caught fire.  Two cloth shops caught fire due to short circuiting. After the incident, rescue teams reached at the spot and evacuated the employees.

No human loss was recorded, whereas cloth was millions was burnt to ashes.
