BHC CJ takes notice of Balochistan prosecutor general’s disappearance

Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faez Essa on Thursday took a suo motu notice on the abduction of Balochistan Prosecutor General Abdul Wasay Tareen.

The BHC chief justice issued notices to the Balochistan chief secretary, the Zhob commissioner, as well as the federal and provincial home departments in the case.

The additional prosecutor general had filed an application in which it was said Tareen was traveling to Islamabad from Quetta for official work when he went missing.

Advcoate Sajid Tareen, brother of Tareen, told reporters that they had lost contact with his brother two days ago when he on his way to Islamabad.

Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) President Rehmatullah Bareech and other senior lawyers expressed serious concern over the missing of the prosecutor general and demanded the government take steps for his recovery.

The BBA also announced boycotting court proceedings on Friday (today).
