Dozens of domestic and international flights were delayed for three to six hours due to heavy rain in Rawalpindi. Flights planned from Islamabad to Riyadh and Islamabad to Karachi were also cancelled.
Meanwhile PIA flight PK 775 staff refused to operate the flight, which, departing from Manchester to Islamabad flight was delayed due to non-payment of allowance.
“We have not been paid an international allowance from last four months,” a protesting employee said.
Officials of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) assured them of full payment of international allowance after which flight PK 775 departed with 184 passengers after a six hour delay.
