Pervaiz Elahi and Zaheeruddin have been elected unopposed as the president and general-secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in Punjab respectively.
According to media reports, the Election Commission of Pakistan had directed all political parties to hold intra-party elections for ensuring their participation in the upcoming general elections. The PML-Q held the intra-party elections on a provincial level in Lahore.
