Indian team gets permission to take part in snooker series in Pakistan

Pakistan Billiard and snooker Association said on Wednesday that the Indian team has been granted the necessary clearance from the Ministry of Interior for participation in Indo-Pak snooker being played from March 7-10 at Karachi.

“The PBSA is grateful to the Federal Minister of Interior Rehman Malik who granted time out of his busy schedule to our President, Alamgir A. Shaikh in Islamabad and issued the instructions for issuance of Visas to the Indian players for their travel to Pakistan to participate in the above Snooker Series, said a spokesman of PBSA here on Wednesday.

The PBSA highly appreciates the prompt and kind gesture of the Honorable Minister of Interior for providing the assistance which will go a long way in promoting sports and also bilateral relations between India and Pakistan, he added.

Furthermore, the Federal Minister also announced the Pride of Performance award for Muhammad Asif, World Snooker Champion for his outstanding achievement in Bulgaria, he added.
