A team of Thatta CIA police seized 60kg of hashish from a Pajero jeep near Baran river at national highway during a search operation orchestrated on a tip off on Wednesday morning.
CIA police said that it had received reports that hashish was being transported in a vehicle. During the search of a Pajero registered as BC-8845, 60kg of hashish was found from secret cavities of jeep. Two accused Salim Samo and Qasim Samo were arrested. Two women who were also in the jeep, were not taken into custody.
CIA In-charge Manzoor Panhwar told that hashish was smuggled from Chaman, Balochistan and the arrested used women to avoid police parties searching their vehicles.
