The police and the intelligence agencies arrested six activists of the banned militant organizations Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan and Jaish-e-Muhammad during the ongoing crackdown against them.
Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Ather Ismail Amjad told newsmen that police has taken into custody Abdul Sattar, Ch Muhammad Arshad, Qari Shafiq Dogar, Sufi Allah Ditta, Qari Tanveer and Malik Riaz from various urban and rural parts of Sialkot district.
Earlier, the police and intelligence agencies had rounded up as many as 11 activists of the above mentioned banned militant organizations three days ago. .
Police have shifted them to different places for further interrogation, the DPO concluded.
