Shahbaz slams govt over escalating corruption

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday said that scandals worth trillions are a question mark over federal government’s performance.
Talking to reporters, Shahbaz Sharif said incumbent government had destroyed country’s economy with its high-profile corruption scandals. He said the Punjab government had completed record development projects in the southern part to end sense of deprivation among the masses.
Shahbaz also directed the provincial lawmakers to address public woes in their areas.
Shahbaz felicitates new LHCBA office bearers: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated the newly-elected office-bearers of Lahore High Court Bar and hoped that they would come up to the expectations of the lawyers’ community.
In a felicitation message to the newly elected president of LHCB Abid Saqi, Vice President Ch Ghulam Sarwar Nehang, Secretary Baleegh-uz-Zaman, Finance Secretary Usman Sher Gondal and other office-bearers, the CM said that the lawyers’ community had played an important role for setting up of independent judiciary and strengthening democratic traditions and its struggle for restoration of independent judiciary had become a glorious chapter of history.
The CM expressed the hope that the newly elected office-bearers would continue to play an active role for supremacy of law and provision of justice to the masses.
