Dozens of mud houses have been damaged in slum areas of Quetta due to torrential rains.
Per reports, two-day torrential rains have damaged dozens of mud houses in several slum localities of the metropolis including Sariab, Eastern Bypass, Kambrani road, Ghausabad, Sabzal road, Western Bypass, Brewery road, Kharotabad and others areas. The district administration sources said that rescue work has been launched and teams to rescue affected areas have been dispatched. No loss of life has been reported.
The accumulated rainwater on roads and streets has exposed the negligence of sanitation departments as main nullahs passing through the city including main city nullah, Sabzal road nullah and others have overflowed.
