Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) would launch a high resolution Remote Sensing Satellite System (RSSS), in 2014, to meet the national and international user requirements in the field of satellite imagery.
Talking to sources, an official said that it will be helpful in exploiting the potentials of space technologies for natural resource surveying and environmental monitoring. RSSS will also be significant in executing application projects of national significance, transfer technology to users in public and private sectors as remote sensing along with its allied technologies which has become an industry in itself.
The official was of the view that RSSS will also be helpful in improving agriculture of the country, water resources, ennvironment and other such issues. Pakistan entered the space age with the formal launching of a second hand Paksat-I in January 200. “Since then our scientists and engineers had been making endeavours to launch indigenous satellite and ensure country’s permanent presence in the space” he said.
Pakistan launched communication satellite Paksat-IR in 2011, which has 30 transponders, design life of 15 years and will provide TV broadcasting, internet and data communications services in South and Central Asia, Eastern Europe, East Africa and the Far East.
Under the vision 2040 of Pakistan’s Space program, many more satellites will be launched, which will help to improve socio-economic condition of the country

This might break your heart, but even Nigeria is way ahead of Pakistan in civilian satellite launches. It has already launched Nigcomsat-1, Nigcomsat-1R, NigeriaSat-1, NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X, and planning to launch two more satellites (Nigcomsat-1 and NigeriaSat-3) in 2013, before you launch yours in 2014.
Take my advice, get over your India-obsession and Afghanistan-obsession and focus on development, not military power or nuclear weapons which you simply cannot afford!
Keep Your Advice To Yourself.Just Because Nigeria Launched Before Us Does Not At All Mean They Are Technologically More Advanced.If That Is Your Standard We Launched Badar 1 In 1990 Way Before Any African Could Ever Imagine This.

Your friendly neighbor, India, just launched SEVEN satellites only YESTERDAY, six of which were for OTHER countries (France, Denmark, UK, etc.).
Pakistan produces only about 100 Ph.D.s each year, a lot of them in the area of 'Islamic studies', while India annually produces 5,000 Ph.D.s, a sizable proportion of them being in science and engineering.
Oh, but who cares about civilian technologies, education, research & development, right? After all you have 100 nuclear warheads!

Pakistan is far behind in satellite and space programs.India is much advanced in satellite and space programs.Pakistan should made at least own satellites for own needs so not depend on foreigner satellites. Pakistan need own military,navigation and communication and other satellites as well.
y compare ur self with india…………u can compare with someone like say south korea,who launched its own satellite now…..pakistan cant even build its own satellite leave launching……. but there are more issues in pakistan than satellite launching…..

greater pakistan made its nuclear weapon in 1984 ten years after india bt now in 5th crossing ndiaand israeal.and espected to become 3rd nuclear power from 2030 to 2050.india , america and israleal terrorist triangle were rejected by honourable pakistan. pakistan made in 1987 1st missile for 80 km and know preparing for 7000 km and 10,000 missile test whith out any failure test in past. pakistan send in space satellite in 2011 from china and now control itself .by seeing the past we espect that INSHAALLAH from 2040 to 2050 will cross india and israel as pakistan airforce gaining edge in numbers of airocraft over india airforce after taking position on indian airforce in exllence. pakistaan only work whith china in defence item. india every technology from america,israel and russia. u can not make anything urself.

PHD in islam or in any earthly science requires tremendous hard work. Yes India is producing PHD's and with no match Pakistan is also trying hard. Any way we can benefit from India and India can learn from us. After all Pakistanis and Indians are not the only source of science and technology
