MQM denies rift with Governor Sindh

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has rejected rumours propagating a rift between the party leadership and Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad.

In a statement issued from MQM headquarters nine zero on Tuesday, the coordination committee said that reports aired on a private TV channel regarding divergence of party leadership and the governor were baseless and out of context. The statement said that Altaf Hussain and MQM has complete faith on Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad and they respect him for strengthening the party and playing a role to bridge between the coalition parties.

MQM alleged that certain forces are trying to create divisions within the party ranks, adding that the party workers should maintain unity amongst themselves.

It is to be mentioned here that co-host of a private TV channel during a current affairs program had revealed that a leadership crisis within MQM might be in the offing because of the brewing rival factions within the party.

  1. Please remember this is the same governor whose family in London UK kept on getting welfare payments for about 18 months till UK govt made this information public. Then Governor Inad decided to return that money because he had to. My God he was so honest. Actually he should have resigned at that time and put in jail for this crime.
