A policeman was killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a polio team in Khao area of Mardan on Tuesday.
Per details, a polio team accompanied by policemen was on duty in Khao area of Mardan when unknown attackers ambushed the team members and opened fire. Resultantly, a cop was killed.
Polio teams are now accompanied by police personnel after the targeted killings of polio workers began in various areas of Karachi and Peshawar, after the Taliban had banned anti-polio campaigns.
