Two people were killed in firing incidents and the body of a man was found from a drain in the city on Monday.
A 24-year-old man, Sarfraz Khan, son of Rustam Khan, was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Muslim Nagar within the jurisdiction of Pakistan Bazaar police station. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
The police have registered an FIR 35/2013 against unidentified armed men on behalf of the victim’s brother-in-law.
Separately, a man, aged 25, was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Kaghzi Bazaar, Kharadar, within the remit of Kharadar police station. The identity of the victim connot be ascertained yet. The body was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. A Medico Legal Officer said the victim received 11 bullets in his body and died on the spot.
Meanwhile, a six-day-old body of a man was found from a drain near Korangi Crossing, within the jurisdiction of Ibrahim Hyderi police station. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a postmortem.
