UK’s Islamic Mission to install 117 hand pumps

UK Islamic Mission would install 117 hand pumps in various periphery areas of Pakistan in collaboration with Al-Khidmat foundation , while Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Canada would help in digging 19 wells in water-deficient areas, said Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan President Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman.

Addressing a meeting to review water supply related projects, he said that a lot of remote and desert areas of the country are deprived of the facility of sweet drinking water and Al-Khidmat has initiated a lot of projects to ensure supply of drinking water to poor people.

On the occasion the plan for the year 2013 was discussed threadbare. The meeting was told that the UK Islamic Mission and ICNA Canada has signed accords with Al-Khidmat Foundation for digging water wells, provision of hand pumps and other related facilities.

Hafeez-ur-Rehman vowed to complete these projects at their earliest and ensuring transparency and quality of work.

Absolutely pathetic management of resources; on the one hand they can boast investing between 2-5 billion pounds (depending which source you believe in) on 27 kilometer road and 111 buses ( Metro project) on the other hand they can even provide basic facilities to their people. The blame gave goes on.
