Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the federal government would provide every possible assistance to the provinces to maintain law and order situation.
Addressing a function of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in Karachi on Thursday, he said the protection of life and property is the duty of the government.
He said if any province could not control the law and order situation‚ than the federal government has to interfere in accordance to the constitution.
He said we have to restore the confidence of the investors. He said the government would discuss all the security problems with the businessmen.
Malik said that the incidents of killings in Karachi and Quetta by the extremists were meant to stop the flow of investment‚ but we have to work to remove such things.
