When Katy Perry hit the red carpet last week, she was definitely hard to miss in her construction cone-colored dress, but that’s not the only thing that caught our eye.
The pop star wore the same ensemble that Emily Blunt rocked four months ago in October!
As a result, the “California Gurl” and the English rose find themselves head-to-head in our latest Fashion Faceoff.
What they wore: A tangerine, embellished halter, column gown from Alexander McQueen.
When they wore it: John Mayer’s leading lady chose the bright number for the MusicCares Person of the Year event last week in Los Angeles, where she was on hand to celebrate Bruce Springsteen. Back in October, Blunt donned the gown for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.
How they styled it: The 28-year-old pop star brought the drama with her smoky eye makeup and dark long locks, but kept her accessories simple by wearing a single Lorraine Schwartz bauble and Guiseppi Zanotti shoes. Meanwhile, John Krasinki’s main squeeze swept her hair up to show off the gorgeous neckline and added a black clutch and large gold rings.
Judge’s scorecard: The color of this frock is extremely difficult to pull off, yet both ladies wear it well. While Blunt’s golden makeup is a sure winner, we’re not sure if we love the “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” star’s pulled back ‘do as much as Perry’s wavy tresses. This could very well be the best we’ve ever seen the “Firework” songstress look! Who do you think wins this red carpet showdown?
