The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has formed a special cell for the verification of degrees of parliamentarians.
The candidates can only contact special cell for verification of their degrees. Comprising of senior officials of HEC, the degrees would be returned to the holders immediately after verification.
According to sources, more than 200 lawmakers have not submitted their degree for verification so far.
Meanwhile, the election commission has summoned a high-level meeting on February 28. The session, chaired by chief election commissioner, will review the working of commission while issue of degrees verification will also be discussed in the forthcoming meeting
