Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Fazlur Rehman on Saturday said that law and order has become a national issue and they wanted to play a positive role for peace in FATA.
Fazl has also called all parties conference in Islamabad on February 28.
Talking to reporters after a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawar Hasan in Mansoora, Fazl noted that peace in FATA was inevitable for peace in the country. He added that no political forum had done anything so far for resolving the
peace issue.
Hasan said that the provincial governments were responsible for maintaining peace. He added the government had failed in this regard so all political parties needed to perform their due role in this regard, he observed.
