The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over 37 Pakistanis imprisoned in Afghanistan’s Bagram Jail and asked the Foreign Office to present a comprehensive report on the matter.
According to details, Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan was told by the Foreign Ministry that the nationality of six Pakistanis had been confirmed, while confirmation of the rest was still underway.
It was said that negotiations with the US for their release were also currently underway.
The petitioner alleged that 37 Pakistanis had been handed over to the US forces. The petition demanded that a case be heard against them in Pakistan in accordance with the law of the land.
