The Education Department has decided to take action against the female teachers for absence from duty in Rawalpindi district. The department started an inquiry against female teachers of three elementary girls’ schools for absence from duty. According to sources, inquiry officer completed a report about the English teachers of Government Girls Elementary School, Bhagali Gujjar and proposed to dismiss the teachers. Similarly, inquiry report about an Arabic teacher of another girls’ elementary school in the area for absence from duty has been made. The district education officer sent the teachers medical report to hospital for verification. The education department started inquiry into the matter of continuous absence of a lady teacher of a government school in Gujjar Khan. When contacted, DEO Elementary (female) Naseem Altaf said that maintaining discipline in the schools was their responsibility and they were effective in their duties.
