Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry during Kirani bombing suo motu hearing on Thursday said that the agencies were supposed to share intelligence with security forces and not with the court, a private TV channel reported.
Chief justice, heading a three-judge bench, remarked that there was no assurance that such incidents would not take place in future.
Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) on Wednesday had claimed that it had shared intelligence regarding a possible incident with the security forces in Quetta before Saturday’s Kirani carnage.
Director Legal Ministry of Finance Shahbaz had informed the court that information regarding the transport of a huge consignment of explosive material forwarded to the concerned authorities in Quetta.
A report submitted by ISI claimed that terrorist took advantage of water scarcity in Quetta and transported between 800-1000 kilograms of explosives in a water tanker.
