In Hyderabad for the Celebrity Cricket League, Salman Khan watched from the sidelines as his brother Sohail’s team lost the match, despite all the support from him and actress Chitrangda Singh, who joined him in the loud cheering. Earlier too, Sohail’s team had ended up loser in the Kochi match. Upset over his brother’s defeat, a second time, Salman suddenly announced that he was open to playing the matches next year. His statement took all those present by surprise. Many in the industry were left wondering whether it was just a statement made at the spur of the moment or whether it carried a deeper meaning and purpose. TOI decided to investigate and this is what we found out. A source close to the actor said, “Salman has been extremely upset that his brother’s team is not in ‘winning mode’. He feels his presence will make a huge difference to Sohail’s team. He thinks he can change the fortunes of Sohail’s men.” Salman even told his close friends that since winning is a habit with him (read: his recent blockbusters), he feels the magic will rub onto his brother’s team as well. But hasn’t Salman been advised by his doctors not to indulge in too much action due to his trigeminal neuralgia condition? “After his trip overseas for treatment this year, Salman should be fully fit. The game is not necessarily about one’s age; it’s all in the mind,” the source said and added, “Interestingly, Salman’s presence will be rather intimidating to his opponents on the field and Salman knows this well.”
