A powerful blast ripped through a CD shop in Peshawar’s Hashtbagri mobile market killing at least one person and injuring 18 others.
Reports said between 1 and 1.5 kilograms of explosive material was used in the time bomb used for the explosion.
Rescue officials said the injured and dead were being shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
Police and other law enforcement agency personnel have cordoned off the area.
Earlier, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had warned Internet Cafes and CD shop owners a couple of days ago to shift their business elsewhere or completely shut down and refusal to comply would result in consequences.
Today’s attack seems connected with the warning pamphlets distributed to warn CD shop and Internet Café Owners.
