Pak wants peace in Afghanistan: FO

Pakistan has said that it wants permanent peace in Afghanistan and will support any effort in this regard.

Foreign Office spokesman Moazam Khan in his weekly briefing said that Pakistan fully supports Afghan-led reconciliation process to bring peace and stability in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan has demanded Afghan Government to hand over Maulvi Faqir Muhammad to Pakistan who is involved in terrorist activities.

To a question he said some countries have reservations over handing over Gawader Port operation to China but Pakistan has the right to take decision in its supreme national interest.

The spokesman to a question said Pakistan has received a positive reply form United Arabs Emirates regarding deportation of former OGRA Chairman Tauqeer Sadiq. NNI
