The three-day annual Urs celebration at the Golra Sharif which kicked off on Wednesday was attended by thousands of devotees from across the country amid strict security arrangements.
Over 300 police personnel had been deployed in and around the Golra Sharif shrine. Walk-through gates, metal detectors and checking points were established with the help of the shrine administration to frisk men and women coming to pay homage to the great saint.
Meanwhile, keeping in view the law and order situation, the reserve police in Golara Police Station was put on standby.
Islamabad Traffic Police established special parking arrangements at some distance from the shrine to avoid traffic congestion during the event.
