Whilst hearing the suo moto case of the Hazara killings in Quetta, The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) rejected the report filed by the ISI and ordered the secretary defence to re submit the report.

The Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry (CJ), stated that it was the responsibility of the police to have information on all activities in their respective areas.

A three member bench of the Apex court heard the case on Wednesday headed by the CJP.
Defence secretary Asif Yaseen Malik stated that information at times is limited hence reports are made on what is available at the time. He added that a full report is made after gathering and combining other information.
The CJP on this stated that sufficient answers were not provided to the court.

  1. the more the gentleman general kayani-why intel;ligence become so controversial.looks zardari-rehman-altaf hussein game to tarnish them as started offwith bombay attack case

  2. SCP is welcome to demand any report from anyone but can someone dare to ask SCP/LHC on release of Malik Ishaq and Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid. What's happening in Quetta and elsewhere is linked with many elite organs of the state.

  3. What qualifies the CJ to correctly decipher Int Reports? The CJ is not even asked to attend security related briefings / conferences. Just by virtue of designation he should not interfere / pass comments on sensitive issues.
