PIA calls back Jeddah-bound flight after engine fire

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) called back its Jeddah-bound plane after fire in one of the engines.

According to reports, flight PK-735’s pilot was alerted of fire in one of the engines few minutes after it’s take off from Jinnah International Airport. The pilot switched off the engine and brought the flight back to Karachi for safe landing.

The aircraft was carrying 465 passengers.

According to PIA sources, the flight will depart after a routine checkup.
