One killed, 5 injured in Jacobabad bombing

A man was killed and five other were injured on Wednesday when a bomb went off near a rally in Jacobabad, officials said.

According to sources, the bombing occurred at a gathering in Goth Ahmed Din Brohi.

Police said the blast occurred soon after Syed Hussain Shah, who has millions of followers in Sindh and Balochistan, arrived at the site of the gathering but he remained unharmed.
Police said Shafiq Hussain Shah, grandson of Syed Hussain Shah, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
The injured have been shifted to a hospital in the district. Police have cordoned off the area and started collecting evidences from the bombing scene.
